While initially this may appear as just painted brick, there is in fact more to it. The builder applied cement to the brick and then painted the cemented surface.	This is what the brick looked like after we were done blasting it. You can see some small patches of cement here still on the brick. At this point it would not be worthwhile to keep blasting the brick to remove these, which is something that can accomplished more gently through the use of a screwdriver to pluck out the patch.
